DARLENE JOHNSON

With 34 years of credit union experience, Darlene Johnson is a transformational leader who prioritizes team development, organization behavior, planning, and growth. Inspired by her passion for innovative solutions, Johnson has designed and launched countless initiatives, including her Florida-based credit union’s indirect lending program, leading to a 70% indirect lending portfolio and 25% membership growth. Among her many professional designations and certifications, Johnson is a Certified Credit Union Executive, a CUNA Certified Credit Union Financial Counselor, and a CUNA Certified Lending Specialist. She completed the Disruptive Transformation program at Harvard Business School and has extensive community and industry service experience, including creating the CUNA COO Roundtable and co-founding the Hernando County Women’s Correctional Institution Financial Lit. Johnson serves as Vice Chair for Hank’s Hope and Hillsborough Community College Foundation.

Kristin Evans serves as Vice President of Marketing and Communications at Curql Collective, where she drives marketing strategies to further Curql’s mission of bringing fintech to credit unions and credit unions to fintech. She has worked for both credit unions and fintech – from startups through enterprise organizations. Kristin leverages over a decade of marketing experience to drive expansion of Curql’s ecosystem, fostering a collaborative environment across the credit union landscape.
